Clifford Burton

Ironman Leeds

In 7 months on a LimitX plan, Clifford took 20 minutes off his bike time and 10 minutes off his marathon, going on to record a 6:30 bike split and a 4:13 marathon at IRONMAN Leeds. The swim was cancelled that day due to water quality, but the improvement across the two disciplines he did race speaks for itself.

Clifford - "When I came onto a LimitX plan a year ago, I was shocked by the attention to detail. It helped me massively in my training. I've taken 20 seconds per 100 metres off my swimming time, 20 minutes off my Ironman bike split, and 13 minutes off my marathon time. The transformation has been genuinely amazing, and I'll be staying on a LimitX plan for the foreseeable future."

Alun Brain

Ironman Wales & Ironman Alcudia

Last year Alun was unable to finish Ironman Wales due to missing the bike cut off time. However this year he arrived at LimitX with a structured plan and targeted intervals Alun completed this years Ironman Wales with an impressive bike split of 7 hours and 55 minutes.

Alun - "Since I started training with LimitX, I have seen huge increases in my swim, bike and run.  With a structured plan, based on zone 2, intervals and weight training, I have gotten faster over long distances, with my endurance levels far exceeding what they were last year."

Daryl McGrory

Ironman Poznan 70.3

Before joining LimitX, Daryl couldn't swim 100 metres in one go. Nine months into his plan, he completed his first 70.3, with a 1500m swim in 45 minutes. His bike also stood out: having never ridden seriously before starting with LimitX, he held an average pace of 28km/h.

Daryl - "I started out training on my own, but I didn't realise how much was actually involved, and my training ended up all over the place. Then I found LimitX. Will is a great coach and helped me improve across all three disciplines, getting me to an Olympic distance in London and an IRONMAN 70.3 in Poland this summer, something I thought was impossible two years ago. He's always available when I need him, checks in with me daily, and has given me the confidence to go for a full IRONMAN (140.6) next year."

Sophie Hancocks

Ironman Wales &

Long Course Weekend

Sophie joined LimitX in her first year of triathlon, running has always been her strength, but her progression on the bike and swim has been genuinely remarkable: a 30 watt increase in FTP over 9 months, and a swim that's gone from struggling past 400 metres to a 1 hour 29 minute swim split at Long Course Weekend. She backed that up with an 8 hour bike and a 3:30 marathon.

Sophie - "LimitX gave me a structure and routine to maximise my time whilst making sure all training sessions had purpose, working towards my goal.

I have always considered myself a good runner but when adding the bike and swim, I was out of my comfort zone. My biggest improvements has been my bike fitness and my swimming confidence. If you had asked me a year ago to do 100km bike rides most weekends and swim 2000m as training sessions I don’t think I would have been able. Now this is something that I do without thinking because I have built towards it over the last couple of months.

The biggest change has been me as an athlete, much more aware of the importance of a structured training program incorporating all 3 disciplines. Also the confidence and fitness to know I can go out on bike rides and feel comfortable with pushing paces, taking on big climbs and covering distances.

Cai Barnaby

Ironman Swansea 70.3

Cai took on IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea this year, his first year on a LimitX plan. A 32 minute swim, a 3 hour 18 minute bike, and a 2 hour 22 minute half marathon added up to a 10 minute PB on the Swansea course. He now prepares for IRONMAN Wales.

Cai - "The structure and support at LimitX have helped me improve faster than I ever expected, but what really sets it apart is the sense of community. Everyone is pushing toward their own goals, yet it feels like we’re doing it together. The group energy, encouragement, and shared wins make every session more motivating. It’s not just coaching, it’s being part of something that lifts you up and makes you believe you can go further than you thought possible".
