LimitX is a new, evidence-based triathlon coaching company built around real jobs and real lives. We're already working with age-group athletes preparing for Ironman Wales and other Ironman-distance races across the UK, with training that fits around your week rather than asking you to rearrange your life around it.
7 Athletes. 7 Finish line moments.

Alun Brain
Ironman Wales - First Time Finisher
After missing the bike cut-off at a previous Ironman Wales, he decided to start training with LimitX. This year, he returned to Tenby and crossed the finish line, posting a 7:55:05 bike split along the way.
Clifford Burton
Ironman Leeds - First Time Finisher
Clifford took on Ironman Leeds taking 20 minutes off his bike split and another 13 minutes off his marathon time.
Daryl McGrory
Ironman 70.3 Poznan - First Time Finisher
Daryl joined LimitX in February 2026 and was unable to swim 100m. He's since completed his first 70.3, with a swim split under 45 minute
What the evidence suggests
Research consistently shows that endurance athletes who build most of their training at an easy, aerobic effort, with race-specific intensity layered on top later, perform better than those who front-load hard sessions.

What race-specific preparation with LimitX actually looks like
Fully tailored, not a template
Built in TrainingPeaks around your actual week, not a generic plan applied to everyone racing the same date.
Race-specific preparation
Pacing for the hills, open-water swim conditions, and the specific demands of the Wales course itself.
Direct coach access
Training adjusts as your life and your body actually respond, not on a fixed schedule set months in advance.
Honest, evidence-based guidance
Including when something isn't working. We'd rather tell you than let a plan quietly fail.
Questions worth asking before you commit
I don't have much time to train. Is this still for me?
This is exactly who we coach. Most of our athletes are working full-time. The plan is built around your week, not the other way round.
Why not just use a free or AI-generated plan?
A free plan doesn't adjust to a bad week, a niggle, or real fatigue. A coach watching your training data does. That's the difference.
What does coaching actually cost?
The Ironman plan is £80 a month, less than most people spend on race entry and kit in a single year.
Thinking about Wales 2027?
Entries are open. If you're ready to talk training, we're ready to listen.
